Stephen is a Western Australian registered builder RBP: 102685 with a double Bachelor of Arts Degree in Training and Development from ECU in Western Australia. A Cert IV in Training and Assessment a certificate CERT III in Wall and Floor tiling, Stephen is a certified HIA bathroom designer.

Stephen has over 42 years of practical hands-on experience in building and the trade. Stephen was a Tilelaying Trainer to Polytechnic West, Balga.

Stephen was a past President and Vice President of the Ceramic Wall and Floor Tilers Association Inc. W.A.

Stephen was the President of the Tilers Association renamed TILERSWA for 2012/2013/2016/2017.

Stephen won for three consecutive years the CWFTA Tiling Excellence Awards for Bathroom tiling in 2003 / 2004 and 2005. The CWFTA Tiling Excellence Awards was open to all wall and floor tilelayers in the state of Western Australia.
